Message from the Management
Celebrating Growth and Innovation at X1Studio
As we embark on our fourth fiscal year at X1Studio, we reflect on our journey that began three years ago amidst the COVID lockdown. Our vision was clear: to transform Japan’s intelligent building industry through disruptive innovations.
I want to take this opportunity to share our achievements and outline the next fiscal year.
"Human-Centric" Technology Design and Consulting:
From day one, we set X1Studio’s mission to assist our clients in having a clear plan to adopt and deploy technology. We’ve become the preferred technology consultant (IT, AV, Security, IoT, GRMS, ERMS) for Japan’s top 10 “5-star hotel projects,” that will be deployed in the next 5 years. Our footprint will reach thousands of hotel rooms and millions of international visitors.
hotelOS:
Our OWN MADE IN JAPAN brand, hotelOS, is an intuitive hotel management platform that’s set to revolutionize the industry. Crafted by seasoned professionals from NEC and Oracle’s hospitality teams, it’s a symbol of our pride and innovation. Our base of installations for international and local hotel brands will set the path for the introduction of hotelOS to the world in the future.
X1Studio and Azbil Corporation Alliance:
Effective September 1st, 2023, X1Studio and Azbil Corporation have formed a capital and business alliance to enhance mutual corporate value. Our collaboration will expand the BMS business for foreign Data Centers, combining our Data Center Management Systems (niagara) engineering expertise with Azbil’s market-leading monitoring and control systems. Through this business alliance, we start with a pipeline of contracted projects that will serve the world’s most innovative and leading global operators of Data Centers, deploying their projects from now until 2028.
Artificial Intelligence:
AI has arrived to stay with us. We’re exploring AI’s potential to enhance hotel operations, improve energy efficiency, and provide personalized guest experiences. Our AI roadmap of developments for hotelOS and our BMS solutions for Data Centers are just the beginning of a new era in Smart Building Systems.

Nishiura was the Chairman and CEO of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Club Co., Ltd. from 2015 to 2018 and served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for AXA Life Insurance, Co., Ltd. from 2012 to 2015. He previously served as the Representative in Japan of AlixPartners LLC from 2006 and Vice Chairman of its US headquarters in 2011. Before his tenure at Alix Partners, Nishiura was the Representative Director and President of Booz Allen Hamilton Japan. Currently, he serves as outside Director for LIXIL Group Corporation and Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd.

William is a seasoned global technology executive with 22 years of experience working in Japan in various facets of the industry, including business creation, successfully responsible for the market entry to Japan of 15 technology brands, and high executive client relationship management. He has broad vertical industry experience, mostly in Building-IoT: commercial buildings, hospitality, and data centers.
Passionate about people and collaboration, “HUMAN CENTRIC” is at the center of his thinking, is his fundamental MISSION to help bridge the gap between business and technology requirements.

After a graduate master’s degree, Kaiho started his career as a smart device design engineer at NEC Personal Computer. Responsible for product planning, project management, and all Lenovo joint development processes project for consumer Desktop PC. Under his tenure, three patents were submitted. Since 2016, started to lead the Smart Hotel team at Sanko IB. By incorporating the knowledge of smart devices cultivated into the hospitality field. The hospitality team successfully deployed solutions to 15 global brands such as Aman Kyoto, Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, etc., to improve the guest experience and operational efficiency. He completed a master’s course in Design Strategy at Kyusyu University.

After graduating from Graduate school, he joined KDDI for 16 years and took charge of KDDI Corporation’s mobile solution business. In 2016, he was the Executive Officer as General Manager of the Solution Promotion Division.
From 2017 to 2023 March, he was the Representative Director and President of BIGLOBE Inc.
As we move forward together toward our IPO, I express my heartfelt appreciation for your continued support of X1Studio.
